Team HR

Team "HR" hails from Rotterdam and consists of five passionate Computer Science and Engineering students from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. With their expertise in hardware and software programming, they are confidently taking on the challenge in the closed category of the Self Driving Challenge 2025.

Teamwork as the key to success

What makes Team HR unique is their strong collaboration and perseverance. They believe in the power of teamwork and are determined to achieve their goal, no matter the obstacles. Why are they participating? Simple: it’s a cool challenge and an amazing opportunity to learn how to build a self-driving car. Last year, they couldn’t make it to the finals due to a vehicle defect, but this year, they are set on making a comeback!

Just-inTime: the name says it all

Their vehicle is called "Just-inTime," a nod to their motto: "We’ll finish it on time!" Although the vehicle itself is already built, they started their project without a clear foundation, making the challenge even more exciting. But they won’t be held back—they’re diving headfirst into the technology at their disposal.

Optimizing code for maximum performance

Since the team is working with the RDW-provided kart, they can’t modify the hardware. But that doesn’t mean they’re sitting still! Their focus is entirely on optimizing the code to make the vehicle smarter, faster, and more efficient. Every line of code counts in their race for victory.

The goal? Winning the Self Driving Challenge!

For Team HR, it’s all about two things: learning how to build a self-driving car and winning the competition. With their technical knowledge, teamwork, and determination, they are ready to stand out and get Just-inTime across the finish line!

Team HR is ready to push their vehicle to the limit and take on the challenge!
